Chef Di'Jon has been cooking since the age of ten, first inspired by his grandmother. While attending Meade High School, he enrolled in the culinary program at the Center of Applied Technology North (CAT North).
It was during that time he considered culinary arts as a career. To further his education after high school, he attended Anne Arundel Community College where he earned two Associates degrees: Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastries.
In addition to operating Sweet Heat, he is currently employed as a chef at Live! Casino in Maryland. There he has been credited with accolades such as employee of the month and was featured in a promotional video highlighting his exceptional knife skills.
When he's not working, he likes to travel (and sampling regional foods). He also enjoys hiking, playing video games. And… you can still find him in the kitchen - even continuing his education by taking classes. His passion for cooking extends far beyond a career. It’s a lifestyle.
